Nuxt starter 1.1.1 — NuxtPage and Node 22.13+

21 October 2026 — externa-nuxt-starter v1.1.1. This is the cut you want if you build with Nuxt against Externa: pages actually render, Nitro getQuery stays reliable, and Node is pinned to a supported line. GitHub Release v1.1.1.

We fold v1.1.0 (20 Oct — CI/tooling majors only, no app/runtime code change) into this article so you are not asked to read two nearly empty posts.

Who should upgrade

• Anyone whose pages stayed blank because app.vue used <slot /> instead of <NuxtPage />.
• Anyone on Node 20 (EOL) — minimum is now >=22.13.0 (24 recommended; .nvmrc pins 24).
• Teams still on 1.0.1 after the October security patches.

What changed in 1.1.1

From the release notes:

• app.vue: replace <slot /> with <NuxtPage /> so pages/ render (#18).
• deps: pin h3@^1.15.11 so a hoisted h3 2.x RC cannot break getQuery in server routes (#19).
• engines: >=22.13.0 to match the toolchain (eslint needs Object.groupBy) (#20).
• CI tests Node 22.13.0 and 24; README updated; /api/home demonstrates ?page= / ?locale= via getQuery.

What 1.1.0 already brought (tooling)

v1.1.0 bumped major dev/CI packages (actions/checkout v7, eslint 10, @types/node 26, vue-tsc 3). Runtime Nuxt 3 / Vue / vue-router and application code were unchanged (release). Jump straight to 1.1.1.

Breaking note

Node 20 is not supported on 1.1.1. Upgrade Node before npm ci.
